Director of Sales and Marketing

Purpose of Your Job Position

The primary purpose of the Director of Sales and Marketing position is to exceed revenue targets through census development for the healthcare center. This will be accomplished by developing/maintaining hospital accounts, relationships with local physicians and community senior care organizations, collaborations with Managed Care organizations, BPCIs/ACOs as well as other ancillary healthcare providers/services.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop relationships with Value Base Program participants (ACO, BPCI, CJR, etc.).

  • Assist with branding of the Consulate family.

  • Assist with Executive Committee meetings for centers supported.

  • Provide backup coverage for liaison and center level sales and marketing roles.

  • Develop and execute education and community outreach for surrounding areas of facilities location.

  • Utilizes various platforms to create and identify partnerships to further growth and potential growth in area markets.

  • Provide Physician recruitment opportunities, program development, and quarterly community on site activities.

  • Assist in achieving facility occupancy and financial viability goals, along with the development and execution of plans for strategic growth in market share.

  • Evaluate and coordinate admissions for multiple care centers with appropriate staff.

  • Achieve facilities census goals and annual budget projections, along with the development of tactics to improve growth.

  • Develop and manage a fluid target list of contacts and decision makers.

  • Act as the liaison between the company and the outside community we serve.

  • Notify Regional Director of Sales and Marketing prior to denial of any patient.

  • Work collaboratively with admission coordinator, business office, nursing personnel, administrators and physicians in the admission process. Foster team work throughout entire process.

  • Develop strategies to grow market share in core business lines. Create quarterly goals and objectives to increase market share and revenue growth.

  • Develop partnerships with local community agencies to generate a positive image and encourage referral activities.

  • Strategically plan and execute industry trade shows and business development activities.

  • Develops strategies to maximize admissions including daily contact with potential referral sources including but not limited to hospitals, physicians, insurers, case management companies and health care agencies. Conduct admission screening of potential patients, determine level of care, services required, equipment needs and insurance coverage.

  • Has the authority to making recommendations of significance to the center leadership and will have those recommendations afforded substantial weight

  • Promote the company and participate in contract closings and price negotiations with insurance companies

  • Maintain knowledge of current regulations governing Medicare, Medicaid and private insurance company reimbursement.

  • Collect and Analyze appropriate data to provide business strategy. Maintain effective communication with company personnel

  • Attend and participate in weekly admissions/operations meetings, along with developing and sharing strategy to increase growth.

  • Accesses continuing education opportunities appropriate to discipline and responsibilities..

  • Adhere to all company Policies and Procedures, and participate in safety, quality improvement and infection control programs as assigned.

Education

  • Bachelors degree required. RN/LPN Nursing degree preferred. Current state license, as appropriate.

Experience

  • Three (3) years’ experience in business development and healthcare sales / healthcare marketing required. Managed care/insurance preferred.

  • Experience with public and commercial payers sources required.

  • Experience working independently required.

  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
